New blog gives voice to LaunchPad Fellows and Mentors

Syracuse University Blackstone LaunchPad powered by Techstars.

The Blackstone LaunchPad powered by TechStars at Syracuse University has unveiled a blog for LaunchPad members, fellows, and mentors to share their expertise with the world. Using this blog, student entrepreneurs can have a voice beyond their immediate network, and help other students in developing their business, building a team, and all things entrepreneurship.

Check out the blog to learn from others about how to best develop your skills and traverse the entrepreneurial journey.

One of the first articles was written by LaunchPad Fellow, Will DeVito, explaining the five most important tips and tricks when making a video pitch for a business competition. Many student entrepreneurs find themselves having to make videos for pitch competitions given the circumstances of the COVID-19 pandemic. Check out the video on YouTube.

The blog will also feature articles from The Success Bug team, led by co-founder Marcus Cook, Martin J. Whitman School of Management ’19. The mission of The Success Bug is “To make starting a business seem less scary. Our mission is to interview ambitious entrepreneurs and learn how they applied different strategies to grow their business.” We are very fortunate and excited to have the brains of the Success Bug team on our blog. Check out their first article posted to our blog.

If you’d like to submit a blog, please email launchpad@syr.edu with the subject Blog Article Submission and it will be reviewed by our staff.
