Startup Legal 101 Workshop

Jared Sorin, a partner with McCarter & English, will host a workshop “Startup Legal 101” for members of the Syracuse University Blackstone LaunchPad at 4 p.m. on Tuesday November 2.  The conversation will cover topics of importance to all ventures and startup founding teams, including picking the right legal entity, founder equity and vesting, equitizing employees and consultants, protecting your idea and how to raise money.  The virtual event will be held in the LaunchPad, first floor of Bird Library.  It is open to all Syracuse University faculty, staff, students and alumni.  Those wishing to also attend virtually should RSVP to LaunchPad@syr.edu for the event link.

Starting the following week, Tuesday, November 9 at 4 p.m., Sorin will also host scheduled monthly legal info office hours with LaunchPad with Syracuse LaunchPad ventures that have questions on these topics.  Watch the LaunchPad event calendar for these dates.
