Organized by current Hunter Brooks Watson Scholar, Jack Ramza ‘23, and next year’s HBW Scholar, Jack Adler ‘23, all proceeds from this week will help Hunter’s Fund increase awareness for distracted driving across college campuses nationwide, while continuing to invest in the passions of young people.

The Hunter Brooks Watson Scholar is a role funded by the Hunter Brooks Watson Memorial Fund (Hunter’s Fund) and coordinated by the LaunchPad to honor the life of former Syracuse University student, Hunter Brooks Watson. A student majoring in Information Management and Technology in the iSchool, Hunter died tragically in 2016 in a distracted driving car accident.

In his memory, Hunter’s Fund raises awareness on the dangers of distracted driving across the country and provides annual grants to young people in areas related to Hunter’s passions – the performing arts, music, computer science, and entrepreneurship.
