TO THE CLASS OF 2020 – It’s really difficult to put into words all the emotions and feelings I’ve felt the last few weeks. As graduating students all over the world finished up their semesters there was this empty feeling of knowing that this years’ graduations would not be the same. Although my degree program is 5 years, and I did not graduate this past weekend, so many of my closest friends did. Not being able to be there in support and celebration of their accomplishments was a reality I could not bear – I needed to do something, to create something. Something that could stand to celebrate these incredible people and thank them not only for who they have been to me over the last four years, but who they have been to the world. To the class of 2020, both my friends and beyond, please accept this film as a humble gift in celebration of everything you are. Your support and friendship means the world to me and although we are not celebrating in person, please know that you are an incredible part of my story – one that I will cherish forever. Although the video was filmed in and is specific to Syracuse University, it is dedicated to the global class of 2020. Whether you’re graduating college or high school, wherever you are, this video is a celebration of you. I speak on behalf of so many people around the world when I say, thank you, and congratulations!!
A special thank you to Lucy Benson, Syracuse Class of 2020, for helping me make this idea see the light.
NOW PLEASE GO OUT INTO THE WORLD, AND BELIEVE IN THE POWER OF YOUR DREAMS!
