Panasci Business Plan Competition: over $42,000 in Cash Prizes

Win seed funding to launch your venture.  Applications due January 23, 2019 online. Many steps are involved in translating great ideas into great businesses. A key step is the creation of  a business plan. A business plan attempts to address the uncertainties surrounding the many decisions you have to make about your businesses. It is a blueprint and a roadmap. The Panasci Business Plan Competition is a campus-wide student business plan competition, hosted by the Entrepreneurship and Emerging Enterprises Department at the Whitman School of Management.

The Panasci Business Plan Competition Semi-finals will be held on Friday, April 12th, 2019 in the Whitman School of Management. The top five teams will then move on to compete in the finals, which will be held on Saturday, April 13th. These events are open to the Syracuse community.

Seed Money
Thanks to a generous donation from the Panasci family, we are able to award $35,000+ in prize  money to the top three teams whose new venture ideas represent the best potential for growth and for attracting outside financing.

  • First Place: $20,000
  • Second Place: $7,500
  • Third Place: $2,500

In addition to awarding cash prizes to the top three ideas, we are able to award additional financing to the team whose idea has the greatest potential for positive impact on society and the natural environment.

  • Fetner Prize in Sustainable Enterprise: $5,000
  • Student CNY Business Start-Up Award: $3,000
  • Gilded Social Rising Entrepreneur Award:$3,000
  • Carol Nulman Social Enterprise Award: $1,000
