This is the last week to cast your fan vote for Russell Fearon ’20 for the EmPOWERED to Serve Business Accelerator™ $5,000 award. Russell will be presenting his idea for Sugex, a wearable device that helps people manage their diabetes, on October 17 at the National Museum of African American History and Culture in Washington D.C. A panel of judges will select two candidates for awards of $50,000 and $20,00, and a “fan favorite candidate” will receive a $5,000 grant, based upon votes now through October 17. Russell is a Syracuse University mechanical engineering student, Invent@SU alum and LaunchPad member, and one of nine national finalists in the competition.
