Catch the action at the NYBPC in Syracuse on April 27

We’re thrilled that this year’s New York Business Plan Competition and Venture NY, both hosted by the Upstate Capital Association, will be held in Syracuse this year. Twelve teams from Syracuse University will be representing Syracuse University in the overall competition, selected from 40 university teams that participated in the regional qualifier hosted by the LaunchPad. Here’s how to catch the action online, with links to both the round two finals and grand prize finals. The finals are April 27 at the WCNY studios.

  1. Round Two of the NYBPC Finals on April 20: This online event will include the top teams pitching live to track judges, mentorship sessions and workshops. Register here (free for everyone).
  2. Venture NY featuring the NYBPC Grand Prize Finals on April 27. The top teams from each track will pitch live to judges in Syracuse, NY on April 27. Guests can join the event either in-person or online. Register here (online tickets are free for students). Limited seating for the in-person event at WCNY.

The NYBPC will be awarding $50,000 in prize money this year, including $15,000 to the Grand Prize Winner. Special prizes include SEFCU MWBE Award, KeyBank Healthcare MWBE Award, The Tech Garden Award, The GENIUS NY Award, and more to be announced.

The NYBPC is privately funded through sponsorships and donations. Funds are allocated towards building a program that has garnered over $150M+ economic impact including follow-on funding for 100+ startups.
