Newhouse Advanced Media Lab Series will explore emerging engage-to-earn models and what that means for innovators and creators

The Newhouse Advanced Media Lab Series presents “Engage-to-Earn: Paradigm Shift or Parlor Trick?” pm Wednesday, April 13 at the Syracuse University Fisher Center at 19 East 31st St in New York City.  The hybrid event will bring industry leaders together to explore the potential impact of engage-to-earn on traditional media, advertising and marketing.

Blockchain, Web3, decentralized finance (DeFi) and the metaverse have the potential to change everything we do. Engage-to-earn allows users to share in the value they create when they learn, play, share ideas and contribute content.

The hybrid event is hosted by Shelly Palmer, advanced media professor in residence in new media management.  It features Zack Seward, Deputy Editor-in-Chief, Coin Desk, Andrew Klein, Vice President, NFT and Metaverse Brand Experience at Sweet.io, and Donald Williams, Executive Vice President and Chief Digital Officer, Horizon Media.
