The Blackstone LaunchPad at Syracuse University is pleased to partner with the School of Information Studies (iSchool) to host Jared Mandel ’13 and Andy Ades ’16 for an interactive fireside chat exploring the design, development, and growth of digital products and services on Thursday, February 21, 2019 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am in the Blackstone LaunchPad powered by Techstars in Bird Library.
The dynamic duo, good friends since attending SU together, will present the yin-and-yang of software development, exploring how to collate the business and entrepreneurial demands of a project with the software development life cycle.
Mandel ’13 is the Founder & COO of Mandel Group, an innovative medical management organization that focuses on growing private specialty medical practices through technology & innovation, particularly focusing on excellence in patient experience. Prior to starting Mandel Group, he worked on a small team of innovators at JetBlue Airways where he designed, developed, and implemented customer and crewmember facing technology such as self-service mobile applications, airport self-bag tagging kiosks, and gate digital information display systems.
Ades ’16 is the Mobile Product Manager for Dunkin Brand, Inc. Based in the brand’s headquarters, he leads a team which designs and operates the mobile app for Dunkin Donuts. His first job out of college was with Cognizant, where he worked as a consultant for Dunkin Brand, before he was recruited to head their mobile product. As a student at the iSchool, he worked for Sidearm Sports.
This fireside chat is open to the public and attendees will be treated to Dunkin Donuts donuts and Dunkin coffee in honor of Andy.
