#LaunchStrongWomen. Come to a Mayan pop-up market bazaar and Guatemalan coffee shop this Wednesday at the LaunchPad, and support women and their children building better lives through entrepreneurship.

Young girls in Guatemala

March is Women’s History Month, and the LaunchPad is partnering with Team Guatemala (Team G) to help #LaunchStrongWomen. Join us for a fun pop-up shop in Bird Library on Wednesday March 4 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. to enjoy Guatemalan coffee pour-overs, and unique handcrafted products by women artisans of Guatemala. The event will showcase works by Mayan weavers in a festive marketplace bazaar. #LaunchStrongWomen is a theme of the LaunchPad’s celebration of women making history through invention and creativity. This kick-off event supports women who are using entrepreneurship as a tool to create better lives for themselves and their families.

“Team Guatemala is very excited to work with the Blackstone LaunchPad to kick of #LaunchStrongWomen with our pop-up shop on March 4th,” says Sarah Ferranti ’20, an accounting major at the Whitman School of Management and project leader of Team Guatemala. “It empowers the women of Guatemala and they embody what it means to be strong women.”
