The LaunchPad invites you to our first ‘Cuse Market – a “pop-up shop” and product showcase on October 21, from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Blackstone LaunchPad and Learning Commons in Bird Library.
Do you make something? We invite you to display your creative work. Our goal is to showcase faculty and student makers from across the University ecosystem. Whether it’s a product, fashion item, art, jewelry, furniture, 3D printed item, coolest new industrial design, household gadget, new mobile app, or the best new tech platform that every student needs to know about — this is your chance to “show” it and “sell” it to new audiences in a pitchfest/market bazaar setting. Use your imagination. Are you a service provider? Let people know about it. This is your chance to shine the spotlight on what you’re creating.
The event features a 2 p.m. new product launch by EB Active founder, Gabriela Escalante ‘16, who is the Entrepreneur in Residence (EIR) at the Falcone Center for Entrepreneurship and the South Side Innovation Center. We’ll also have campus and community Maker Spaces there to help you discover and connect with resources if you are interesting in learning more about the “maker movement.”
