Louis Bookhoff ’17, co-founder and CEO of Busie returns to his roots in Syracuse as one of a handful of elite companies selected to pitch at Upstate Capital Association’s Venture NY showcase, featuring seed-stage startups raising $500k-$2M, primarily SaaS companies, from across New York. Busie has successfully closed nearly a million dollars in funding over several rounds from investors such as the Hudson Valley Startup Fund.

The event is being held in conjunction with the New York State Business Plan Competition (NYBPC)  on April 27.  This is the first time the statewide event is being held in Syracuse.  For Bookhoff, his journey comes full circle, as he competed as a student in the NYBPC event as part of the Syracuse University team in 2017.

Bookhoff started Busie as a Whitman student at Syracuse University. Busie provides the most comprehensive cloud-based charter quoting and booking software on the market enabling users to digitize their entire charter process by offering instant quotes and online bookings directly on your website.
