Four Syracuse student startup ventures advance to the next round of the New York Business Plan Competition

Congratulations to the teams moving on to round two of the New York Business Plan Competition. Four Syracuse student ventures were among the 18 teams selected from 120 regional winners across New York State for the NYBPC semi-finals on April 20.

Semifinalists include:

Health & Wellbeing: Illumenar (Syracuse), Bio-Spire, Pawket Vet

Media, Art & Entertainment: Sus Bots (Syracuse), Open Beats, SWIPS

Products & Hardware: EcoBamboo Living (Syracuse), Photonect, Spinovations

Safety, Power & Mobility: DomCat Technologies, KLAW Industries, LiRevive

Software & Services: JDocs, LawnAdmin, Property Gauge

Every team that participated in round one is still eligible to win a special prize at Venture NY featuring the grand prize finals. This event, hosted for the first time in Syracuse on April 27, will feature the top in each category pitching for the grand prize. It is being held in conjunction with Venture NY, a startup showcase sponsored by the Upstate Capital Association of New York.
