Virtual LaunchPad Startup Weekend

Syracuse University is participating in a virtual LaunchPad Startup Weekend co-sponsored by the LaunchPads at SUNY Buffalo, Syracuse University and Cornell University, sponsored by The Blackstone Charitable Foundation and Techstars. Startup weekend is an amazing weekend where students form into teams, and see how far they can develop their business idea in under 72 hours. Last year, we ran a successful startup weekend here on SU’s campus, in which we had teams that went on to build ventures still running today.
Students do not need any prior background in business nor do they need an idea coming into the weekend! Students will form teams with other students from SU, the University of Buffalo and Cornell. The weekend will end with a friendly pitch competition for cash prizes. The winning teams will be awarded prizes as follows: 1st place $2,000, 2nd place $1,500, and 3rd place $750. This is free for students, and any member of the SU community, to attend. Our goal is to help empower students from any educational and social background to bring their ideas to life.
