Syracuse LaunchPad and Deloitte invite you an innovation sprint: driving digital transformation

First came the web, then mobile technology. The next decade will be shaped by seamless digital experiences. What are the big trends shaping this digital transformation for enterprise? The Syracuse Blackstone LaunchPad and Deloitte Digital invite you to an exclusive innovation sprint with top digital leaders, starting Friday, September 9, to explore this topic and to make amazing personal and professional connections. This event will be capped at 50 students or recent LaunchPad alumni (2017 – 2022) to optimize the experience, so be the first to RSVP here on Eventbrite.

The goal of the program is to:

  • Promote Deloitte Digital’s brand to Syracuse University students
  • Identify top-performers as potential candidates for Deloitte Digital
  • Establish a meaningful relationship with the Syracuse University Blackstone LaunchPad – a global entrepreneurial hub for students.

The Digital Challenge is a seven day sprint followed by a mentorship program to create a proof-of-concept that approaches one of these three digital challenges for enterprise.

  • Trust in a digital world

From cybersecurity to blockchain, tomorrow’s winning digital business will transform the way they share data to earn trust. How can an enterprise innovate to increase trust?

  • Connectivity in a digital world

From virtual fandom, concerts, sports and e-gaming, large scale venues, to re-imagined retail experiences, workspaces, conferences and meetings, travel, learning, and more, how can an enterprise harness digital innovation to build better connectivity with customers, employees, and stakeholders?

  • Experience in a digital world

From social commerce to influencer experiences, to the future of the Web. How can an enterprise utilize digital innovation to personalize a user’s interaction with an organization?

The hybrid event will start Friday, September 9 in Bird Library from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., featuring keynote speakers from Deloitte Digital including Tim Juravich, partner & principal, Deloitte Digital, and Amos Cohen ’20 (finance and information technology), a LaunchPad alum who is product manager at Deloitte Digital. At the conclusion of the keynote, students will organize into pods of three teams to work independently on one of the challenges. They will work on solutions at their own pace, supported by mentors from both Deloitte Digital and LaunchPad alumni who are successful founders, subject matter experts and technologists.

The sprint will culminate in a festive Demo Day on September 16 from 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. in Bird Library, with teams making 10 minute presentations of their solutions in the forms of slide decks, wireframes or other digital renderings, MVPs, video or animation/stop motion graphics, or any other preferred digital tools of their choice.

The winning team from each pod will get a weekly 60 minute meeting with a Deloitte PPMD (the leader from each pod) for four weeks. The winning team will decide how to utilize this time with dedicated Deloitte mentors.

The winning team of each digital challenge will also receive a $500 award from the Syracuse Blackstone LaunchPad and personalized coaching from LaunchPad alumni mentors.
