April 14 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. is a chance to see Syracuse University entrepreneurs showing off what they’re working on at a “POP-UP” at the Blackstone LaunchPad and the main floor of Bird Library. There will also be a first birthday celebration for the LaunchPad with a birthday cake, and ceremonial cake cutting by Dean of the Libraries David Seaman at 3 p.m. in the Peter Graham Scholarly Commons. There will also be live music by “Citrus Sound,”
a group of student creatives and musicians in the Peter Graham room.
A professional student film crew will also be on hand to make a short movie featuring the top entrepreneurs at SU.
The event is being presented by the Blackstone LaunchPad, Falcone Center and the Entrepreneurship Club. The campus community is invited to meet the creators and innovators who are showcasing their new products, services, technologies in the busiest building on campus, with more than 8,000 visitors a day!
Student venture developers will be testing their products, and getting customer feedback or use it as the way to launch their ideas. They will also showcase their ideas to get sign-ups and subscribers. Whether it’s a product, fashion item, art, jewelry, furniture, 3D printed item, coolest new industrial design, household gadget, new mobile app, or the best new tech platform that every student needs to know about, this is your chance to discover what student entrepreneurs are up to, as they “show” it and “sell” it to new audiences in a market bazaar setting.
The opening of the Sustainacuse exhibit by students in the College of Engineering and Computer Science, and the School of Architecture, will also be part of the event.
