Some of the top film and animation talent at Syracuse University will show their work at this year’s ‘Cuse Market. The first ever ‘Cuse Film Showcase (complete with free popcorn), will be Friday, April 20 from 3 to 4 p.m. at the Blackstone LaunchPad at Bird Library.
Curated by award-winning animator Justina Hnatowicz ’19, the film showcase will feature short works by VPA and Newhouse students, as well as other disciplines. Many of these films and animation awards have won festival awards, or are headed to festivals, but have not been seen outside of a classroom. They are professional quality work, so this is a chance to see them in a unique, intimate format.
The call for entries closes Wednesday, April 17. To submit, e-mail a video link to cusefilmfestival@gmail.com. Students may submit entries of any genre, 10 minutes or less. For more info, stop by the Blackstone LaunchPad, first floor of Bird Library.
