Ever been told you had talent for something, but didn’t want to pursue it as a career? Want to keep doing it, but don’t have enough money to fund it? Here’s the perfect program for you. Strap in and join Build Your Side Hustle, a five-workshop program led by student innovators with amazing experts. Learn and discuss how to develop a “side hustle” with workshops on topics such as creating and maintaining an online shop (Esty, Redbubble, Instagram, etc.), understanding the monetary value of your products/services, promoting your business, and turning followers into customers, and more.
Workshops will take place every Wednesday evening starting March 20th to April 20th from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the LaunchPad in Bird Library. Each workshop will feature a guest speaker who has experience with building side hustles, a collaborative discussion with participants, and time to apply gained knowledge to your hustle.
At the end of the five-workshop series, attendees will set up their businesses at a pop-up market and sell their products for a day. A people’s choice poll help select best set up and presentation displays, products, and business platform. The top four “hustlers” will be rewarded micro-grants to further fund their hustle.
