2019 is gearing up to be a biotech blockbuster year in Syracuse

CNY Biotech Accelerator (CNYBAC) is now accepting applications for its 3rd Annual Medical Device Innovation Challenge (MDIC) at: www.cnybac.com. The NYS Empire State Development grant-funded MDIC at the CNYBAC will be accepting applications through the spring 2019 academic semester.  Selected participants will receive: six months of free work space in the Creation Garage at CNYBAC; intensive mentorship (2-3 targeted mentors assigned to each team); as well as access to SUNY Upstate Medical University research and clinical experts and core facility equipment. The first place winner of the 2018 MDIC pitch competition was Syracuse University startup In-Spire, co-founded by Kayla Simon and Elizabeth Tarangelo, graduates of both the Invent@SU and Blackstone LaunchPad programs.

MDIC participants also gain resource assistance and networking opportunities through the collaborative Syracuse Innovation Connectors Ecosystem which includes the Syracuse University Blackstone LaunchPad, Upstate Venture Connect, the Innovation Law Center at Syracuse University College of Law, MedTech, Launch NY and The Tech Garden. Applicants may participate on-site or virtually.
