Jordan Van Ryn joins the LaunchPad as a summer intern

Jordan Van Ryn is joining the Blackstone LaunchPad team at Syracuse University as an intern this summer. Jordan will be using her skills in public relations and communications to help support and promote student entrepreneurship.

Jordan is a native of New Jersey and moved to Camillus, New York, where she attended school at BOCES in Cortland, NY and also received a high school diploma from West Genesee High School. There she learned how to use computer programs such as Photoshop. She continued her education at Onondaga Community College as an art major and a minor in video production.  Jordan has skills in video filmmaking, photography, graphic design, electronic media writing, and fine arts.

Jordan is also an entrepreneur herself and has launched many projects on her YouTube channel, “MaryHelsing.”  She has produced commercials for clients such as Venure Group, a program that teaches students about finances, All Who Wander, a crafts-man bar in Manlius, NY, and a commercial for SXSW about promoting student start-ups. She was an intern last summer at the Student Sandbox at the Tech Garden, where she helped students build their businesses by using her photographic and filmmaking skills.
