CNY teams move on the New York State Business Plan Competition next week

Promptous, launched by Syracuse University iSchool students, is advancing to the NYSPBC finals on April 26 in Albany

Twelve student teams were recently selected at Compete CNY to advance to the New York State Business Plan Competition finals next week in Albany.

The teams and their affiliations are:

  • CLLCTVE (Syracuse University)
  • FEI Tech (Syracuse University)
  • In-Spire (Syracuse University)
  • MAS (Syracuse University)
  • MedUX (Syracuse University)
  • NaSo (Colgate University)
  • Nic’s Suds (Le Moyne College)
  • PAANI (Syracuse University)
  • PK Eco Storage (Wells College)
  • Prioritage (Syracuse University)
  • Promptous (Syracuse University)
  • TEGApp (Le Moyne College)

The CNY regional qualifier was hosted by the Blackstone LaunchPad powered by Techstars at Syracuse University.  Compete CNY was open to any undergraduate or graduate student enrolled in a Central New York college or university, including: Syracuse University, Colgate University, Le Moyne College, SUNY Oswego, SUNY Cortland, Wells College, Cazenovia College, Upstate Medical University, OCC, and CCC.

Student teams will go on to the state competition, organized by the Upstate Capital Association of NY.  They will compete in the following categories:

  • AgTech & Food
  • Energy & Environment
  • Military & First Responder
  • MedTech & Well-Being
  • Technology & Entertainment
  • Consumer Products & Services
